2010 M50 windshields

Thanks for the link AfterDarker.
I'd heard that I could fit the M90's Vstream (with a bit of persuasion), but since it now looks like they're making one for the M50
I think I'll wait for that. Just hoping they don't change the appearance of it, just the mounts.

Called national cycle today and they told me that a Vstream is on the way for the 2010-12 M50 within the next 5 weeks. The light tint touring model will be part# N 28217. Did not ask about the dark tint or the shorter versions.

They told me 4-6 weeks in the middle of August, but any news is good news. If they have a part number, it must be happening.

I just got another email response from National Cycle. They say it's still 4 - 6 weeks away, and sounds like they are just (going to be) making new brackets.
I'm not waiting that long, so I've just ordered an M90 Vstream for my 50.

I just bought my 2010 M50 in the spring, it was slightly used and had a clear V-stream shield installed. Unfortunatly, i had surgury to repair a patella rupture this May and only got to enjoy a few rides. Suprising that for such a small wind screen, it deflected a fair amount of wind while alowing enough to still feel like you are riding. I am shopping for a set of leather wrapped hard bags this winter. Any suggestions of manufacture?

The good news is that the US is getting the new M50 (4 years after the rest of the world). So maybe now the US after market guys will start making some good stuff for it.
Although I've got no idea how long it normally takes them to gear up ........ maybe 4-6 weeks

The first time I contacted them was 3 months ago and they told me 4-6 weeks. Then I emailed them again in the beginning of November and they told me the same thing.

I have fitted a V stream tourer made for the M90 on my Australian delivered 2010 M50. No real issues, works pretty well, lines suit the bike.
