1980 kz750 ltd throttle

My throttle springs are pretty spring loaded, it takes a lot of effort to keep this thing going after an hour or two, i would like to find a setup with two cables(one to open and the other to close the throttle) that requires less tension to ride with. I know the kz900 has one but they are slide throttles as opposed to butterflies. Any suggestions would be nice, thanks.

I don't think I've heard of doing that, but anything is possible...
I'd just ride it more and get used to it - it's a pretty nice looking bike. I bet it's a hoot to ride!

Changing the cable set up is not going to change the spring rate at all. If your hand gets tired from using the throttle on long rides, get a throttle rocker to use until your hand muscles build up. Chances are you are gripping the throttle too tightly also- most folks do until they have been riding a couple years. If you really, really need to reduce the spring rate on the throttle return, just change the springs to longer\looser ones.

I guess some have 2 cables one for open and the other pushes it closed, probably on slide carbs though.
