    Canadian Westcoast Riders

This past week, I managed to get a ride in during the week with Atlas68.
On Sunday, I was out with Mikemc and Tommy Boulevard.
Although it was cold for both rides, they were good times.
Hopefully we will get out again.
    Any other WestCoasters pipe up.

I think you guys are from the Vancouver metro area. I go up to Vancouver every now and then (I'm in Portland). I've never taken my bike up there yet, but I'd like to in the summer maybe. I've always liked Penticton and the Okanagan valley. I'd definitely like to get up there sometimes. That would be a killer (great) ride north from Wenatchee. There's that wild twisty highway 3 that climbs up to the east out of Osoyoos. Being a noobe rider, I'd like to do it.. but just the thought of it gives me the shakes. Have you gone on the Fraser gorge hwy, the one between Hope and Cache Creek?. I drove that years ago, and I think that would make a great ride, if you're headed to Kamloops or Lilooet.

Before I can get back to Canada I have to get a passport. Anyway, that's what I've heard, or Dubya won't let me back into the States, and if that happened Id have to find gainful employment in Canada, which I doubt. I could wash dishes part-time in an Indian restaurant in Surrey or I could be a professional beach bum on Second Beach, working on my tan during the day and going club hopping along Davie or in Yaletown at night. Of course there's only 3 months of the year when I could take my shirt off. (lol)

Maybe on the coast of the big O, you only get 3 months of good weather, here we are inclined to recieve a little more. Send a PM if you head this way.

Right now it is chilly, the wind has been coming out of the north.

I could not find an excuse that worked, so I was out raking the yard, lots of crap from the wind. The third time in 2 weeks. My neighbour has these 40/60ft trees he planted on his acre 50 years ago. They were Xmas trees, now he is complaining about the branches, he is 81 and he still climbs the trees to cut branches. I keep waiting for one of the trees to come down on my Condo.

    I would rather ride.

    Hey C50s,

I might try and join up if you guys are doing more than a day ride. I am from the Cascades outside Seattle and ride North all the time..well except when the North wind gets the better of me. 05 C50

We have just started to meet and get to know each other. As the weather has been cold the rides have been short. 3 of us are in the Surrey area and one is in the Port Moody area. I am the only retired one, we have been trying to fit in the rides. As the weather gets better, we would be happy to meet up with you. There are a few from the forum in the Seattle area, contact them and maybe we can do some return area rides.

Do you remember the name of the C50 rider from the Gulf Islands.
I think you responded to his first post. For some reason I think he was French Canadian?

    Hi Blackie.
Been away from the forum for a few days and just stumbled on this thread.
We have been having a good time haven't we. What's this wrong coast talk? I've put over 1000 km's on this winter and we don't have bugs in the summer. Sounds like someones a little green.
Can't recall the name of the missing rider...but recall he's in the San Juans. Maybe he'll surface soon.
Blackie, I'm back on shift today and off on Tues, morn. I'll be in touch if the weather is clear.
This time I'll take my camera out of my pocket just to fuel Trappers' itch.
    Wrong coast...he cracks me up.
