Pety argument with a coworker... 0-60: Ninja 250 vs. C50

I know a Ninja is a completley different bike. Its a light weight bike designed for corner carving, and speed (? maybe). But in a 0-60 sprint, do you think a C50 is capable of beating it?

Oh ya... I weigh 150lbs and I would be on the C50, and the rider of the ninja is 180.

Still... can't imagine them being that fast for a dinky vtwin.

The little Ninja does 0-60 in about 5.5 seconds. The C-50 is slightly slower, around 5.75-5.9 seconds, depending on which magazine you read. BUt I'm guessing that a skilled rider on the C-50 could match a poor rider on the Ninja.

Fight over which is faster, a 250 Kawa or a Slowusia??? Sounds like two bald men wrestling over a comb!

If you really want to know, take both bikes to Pinks.

Get a Harley Davidson Destroyer - and you'll toast those Ninja 250s.

but a C50 will outcruise any sportbike.

Ninja ... designed to be fast
    C50 .... designed for cruisin

    No contest

Just take him for a ride for about 2-3 hours (he'll be exhausted) then offer to race!

    No contest

The Ninja is a little quicker, (in experienced hands), but the C50 has more torque, which makes it easier to launch, so if neither rider has any real race experience, the C50 should get enough of a hole shot that the Ninja won't be able to catch it in a quarter mile race, and 0 to 60 the "C" should win every time.

If a guy on a C50 is racing a guy on a Ninja 250, you're just looking at two losers....
