What is the consensus here on leather treatment. Maybe mink oil or saddle soap. Any ideas?

The OEM are leather and I use Mothers leather cleaner.
Whatever you do though, when you clean the saddlebags, don't take them off the fender. They're a PIA to get back on.
The fix for this is listed on www.moccsplace.com/images/bagkit/stud_diag.jpgOriginally Posted by zukirob
You can buy the kit or go buy the parts yourself.
A lot of info is shared by many good people here.
Armorall leather wipes
Mothers is out of Calif. if my short term is still working.
I buy at Canadian tire, have seen at Walmarts but most Auto Shops carry. I use their carwash and mag polish.
So I think AutoZone is a shop that should carry.
Anyone can help???
Can I go Nebraska to B.C. ...what a trip!!
The Mother's site lists retailers.

I'm pretty sure Autozone carries Mothers Products.

I just don't wanna talk to him now......
Anyone here ever use Doc Bailey's Leather Black? I have been looking for a local dealer but no luck yet (Tamap, FL area). Anyway, any experience with that product?
For what it’s worth – leather care threads are second only to oil or tire threads in loads of varied opinions... Don’t have leather saddlebags but do have lots of leather stuff on the bikes (plus leather saddles) and have used these guys year-round for several years and at least one of my bikes is outside 24/7... Generally use the Leather Amore most of the year on the saddles, but use the Mink Oil on the leathers (no rain gear) year-round, except for the boots where I use Mink Oil Crème, and Snow Country Wax Oil for nasty weather (will darken lighter leather).
See: Bee Natural Leather Care;Leather Conditioner:Leather Cleaner, leather conditioner treatment care, leather care product, leather furniture care, leather treatment, clean leather furniture and leather furniture cleaner
Should give you some ideas – see their saddle-care section...
