Yamaha V-Star VS. Suzuki C50

There are 3 Japanese manufacturers with FI cruiser bikes under 1000cc:

1.Suzuki C50, M50-800cc: FI, liquid-cooled, shaft drive.

2.Kawasaki 900cc: FI, liquid-cooled, belt drive.

3.Yamaha 950cc: FI, air-cooled, belt drive

I was seriously considering the 950 as a first bike but every review i've read has the same complaint...too easy to scrape/poor lean angle.

The reviews I've read that say that are the one by guys who think every bike made should be used to burn up the twisties. The 950 is not the bike for that.

If you're gonna buy a bike to do twisties at a high rate of speed don't buy a cruiser. I've yet to scrape my floorboards and I've leaned to negotiate all the curves so far. I mean, how far do you want to lean?

I wound up checking it out anyway..was too cramped in the legs for me (6')...but damn it was comfy otherwise and sooo sexy!
