My first bike was a '73 TS125 Duster. I was going to upgrade to the 185, but instead went street for awhile. That's a 2-stroke bike. It made nice power, is a good enduro machine & isn't heavy. Parts may be a problem. And you won't make very many friends with the blue smoke coming out the back! But 2-strokes rule in my book, any day. Best of luck with it.

I have an old TS185, which is not too far off a TC. Same engine anyway. The 185 hauls *** and will eat a late model xr250. Its easy to get a bit more power from these engines with carb/airbox and exhaust mods.
87 DR200, re-jetted carb, drilled airbox, big rear sprocket
    84 TS 185 - will kick any 250

    Cool another ts owner

    Hey everyone.
Just joined the site and was going through all the old topics.

I own a TS185 cant really say the age but, as there is at least 6 different bike roled into one . Thats the good thing bout the TS range, there all the bloody same. I have also upgraded the front and rear shocks to DR250 on the front and a pair of TS250 on the rear. Its got the hole DR front end on so ive gotta love that disc brake stopping power!! I think the reeds that are in it now are Boyensen dual stage (came with a bunch of goodys i swapped for a bottle of rum). Has a Unifilter pod like ya see on the 50's.

What sort of modifications has all the other 185 riders out there down to there riggs?? Particularly to up the power a bit.

She looks pretty ruff. Should be getting a new (Second hand) fuel tank for it some time......honda I didn't mean to put it in '82 but im too lazy to change it.
