making whitewalls white again , windshield clean ?
just looking for some tips on cleaning whitewalls. I always used to use brillo pads back in the day. Ive heard people suggesting Mr Clean Magic eraser ? Anyone ever use this ?I also heard wesleys white wall cleaner. I would hope this works lol..LMK what you guys have used.
I use Mothers Showtime polish on the tank and fenders and mothers Chrome polish on the chrome.
Any suggestions on windshield cleaner as well ? Us to use invisible glass on cars but not sure how this will fare on the windshield of a bike..
Appreciate any suggestions..............

I would try bleche-wite on the tires you can get it at wal-mart or any parts house. For the windshield I used to use plexus you can get it at motorcycle dealerships, it cost $20.00+ but it will last a long time and it works great.

I can attest to the bleche-white. It works like a charm. It's only about $5. As for the chrome and winshield, there is a cleaner that a friend of mine uses. I don't know the name off the top my head, but it does work really well. As soon as I get the name I'll let you know.

Thanks. Bought the bleach white I'm gonna try it tomorrow

Wow what a difference !!! I used the wesleys bleach spray bottle . Worked awesome. Wheels look great

Glad you liked it. The best part is that it's so cheap.

Ok, I asked my friend about the products he uses. For the chrome you can use Never Dull and for the windshield he said to just use Windex.

Sure thing. Glad I could help.

I would NOT use Windex or any product made for cleaning glass. To clean a windshield it's best to just use plenty of water. For a very dirty windshield I'll soak it with a wet rag or wet paper towels, but don't use the paper towels to wipe a windshield off, typically they will scratch the plastic. Occasionally I use a multi surface cleaner but don't remember what it's called right now, but I'll check.
As much as I've tried to get lost, everywhere I went, there I was.

I checked, what I've been using is Pledge Multi Surface cleaner on both my windshield and helmet face shield with no problems. EXCEPT.... be careful to NOT get any on rubber, it seems to have started to break down rubber parts on my helmet. As mentioned before, lots of water is best. While it's a good idea to clean the crud off a windshield and not let it stand, if I can't do it properly, I'll wait. They scratch up very easily if you're not careful. BTW, a useful hint is to wipe from side to side and not in circles. Apparently sideways is a more gentle motion. Don't know, but that's what I heard and that's the way I do it.
Another interesting product is 303 Aerospace Protectant, see this site here. I bought some locally at an ACE Hardware and use occasionally, seems to be a great product and works well on all vinyl too... saddle bags, seats, etc. I don't use it all the time since I like to clean very thoroughly first, which I don't do all that much.

I'll recommend a product called Plexus for any clear plastics. I use it on my windscreen and helmet shields, as well as my glasses! It's what the Air Force uses to clean the canopies of their fighter aircraft. It hides small scratches and leaves a slick finish that helps prevent bug sticking and such. Best product I've EVER used for plastics! Should be available at any motorcycle shop.
