Welcome to the Darkside! I love my Harley! Ride Safe! Ride Often!
What did you think of going from the C50 to the Heritage? I have the C50 and my husband had an 07 Heritage Softail classic. Says that I get his bike when he gets a new Harley... I've been riding for two years and have about 9,000 miles on my bike.
The one thing I definately notice it the weight difference. He says that I can take his bike out whenever, but I'm afraid that I'll ride his and won't want to ride my C50 anymore! Maybe he's hoping that he'll get his new bike sooner that way...
Another note...I wave to everyone. There are a few snobs out their that don't.

I had put 18500 miles on the C-50 in about 17 months. I do not miss the C50 at all but it was a good bike and I have some great memories riding it with the wife. That said it is not an EGC. It, the C 50, is way better then the VTX 1300 or the 1100 Star. There is a wieght difference on the HD and they are a really great handleing bike at slow speeds. But some people don't like the vibrations etc....The Heritage has the B range motor so it won't shake as much and any shaking is only at an idle.

I have written this in another thread before, but its worth repeating in light of the above posts. Where I live SE US, everyone waves to each other. The only ones that don't wave are the folks on those BMW Dual Sports. The ones that look like thery are riding aroound the world on the thing. They never wave. But the metrics, the choppers, customs, and even the crotch rockets all wave.![]()
