It sounds like a carb problem.

Ask your question on the Honda v4 board. They will help you. The board is dedicated to the Honda Magna, Sabre, and Interceptor. See you over there.

Yes It is between the carbs. Look at the carbs from underneath on the left side of the bike.

Yes, but...........if it just started doing that out of the blue, you do NOT want to start screwing with the throttle stop screw. You need to find out WHY things changed.

Could be a vacume leak developing; could be a choke malfunction; could even be a leaking head gasket; could be a LOT of things.

If you want to get it fixed in a timely fashion, you probably should take it to a competent shop (if you can find one).

    Hi Guys,
Thanks for the replys. I did turn the idle knob and it just made a slight difference at start up but didn't affect anything when it warms up. It still idles at 5000RPM when warm? Any other ideas what I can check?

    Above is your best advise.

Sounds like a difficult problem to diagnose, since the problem exist when the engine is warm. Try first to inspect the bike for visible cracks in any lines, bound cables or any visible problems, if not you probably would want to take it to a shop where they can help with it.
Why am I here posting? I should be out riding!

Fix it before you ruin a gear.

Has it been doing this since you purchased the bike. I'd wager your throttle cable is sticking, lube it and see if that fixes it.
