What's new with your lil' Rebel?

Since there's no subforum for a Rebel, may as well copy what the M50 clan is doing , and add a place for Rebel owners to show off what they're doing to their bikes.

I'll start with mine. Found out while sitting on the bike and checking her out, that the mirrors do absolutely nothing for me, but remind me of my cup size. I can't rotate them far enough up where I can see over my shoulders. I can move them so that they can reflect either left or right in the extreme. Since the purpose of any side mirrors (and especially on a bike) is to help see what's coming up behind you, I've decided that I need to buy a new set.

These are the ones that are coming my way. They're nothing flashy, but I like that there's an adjustable bolt and washer in the back so that I'll be able to move it farther over to be able to see around me.

Still working on getting the title from the guy I bought it from, but that'll happen this weekend. Then I'll have to wait until Monday to get it registered and all that good junk.

    Happy riding all!

It has been a very long time since I had my Rebel, but I did make a reinforcement bracket that was basically an L shape and I had them chromed. I mounted each under the rear turn signals and they came up in front of the rear signals. I put them on because I kept breaking signals by kicking them as I would get on and off the bike. I am kinda tall. they did not look out of place at all. When I sold the bike, the guy thought it looked good and planned on leaving them on.

When I had my Rebel I hung out at hondarebelforum dot com. They have some good info and a few good mod links. The first thing I did was the seat plate removal. It will help the seat to feel better.
There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.

jk... i'm a member there, but I must admit that the comraderie there is nothing near to what it is here. I actually get responses to my posts here in MJ. There, I've posted twice and *no one* has posted back -- not even in a "welcome to the forum" type answer! It's a bit disappointing really.

Obviously the other forum is not as friendly as this one. I found this one while hunting for info before "the Hobo" bought her M. Informative and polite folks here. A very big + after some of the other forums I have lurked on and wondered WTF.

Concerning mirrors, there are also folks out there making extensions to move the mirrors further out and away from your body.

If a "lil' Rebel" makes you happy, then that should be pretty easy.

Now if you can just get her motor started, you would have it made.
