    Red face SOS!! Honda XR 200

    Hi,

    Due to unexpected break-up I am trying to figure out how to maintain/take care of my bike.....Can anyone please help me with where to locate the year my Honda XR was made (ex still has the title)? I checked the engine area as well as the plate underneath the handle bars (all I saw there was the vin #) ~ I'm not sure where else to check?? Thank you!

    Look for VIN on the headset part of the frame. Turn the bars one way or another and look at the frame between the triple-clamps.
    - The 10th digit from the left is the year for all Honda motorcycles produced prior to 2001

    Wouldn't that require TWO digits ??

    If you have the registration card or insurance card, it should be on those documents too.
    If you don't have those documents, you shouldn't be riding it anyway.
