flashing light = find fuel. I've never had mine go steady on yet, but there's a lot of fueling stops locally, so I'm never more than 10-15 miles from someplace with gas.
06 Blue M50 - Loved it for 20k, but its time for something new, something 2.25 times bigger
LOL....Dude, stop staring at it and keep your eyes on the road!
At first I was going to say I never noticed that....however, now that I think about it, I can almost remember it going slower at some point, because I can recall wondering if it was from the cold...silly as that sounds.
Either that, or I'm just being sympathetic because I want to ride again so badly.
Just did a 3600km ride, and have to say that I was a bit apprehensive about finding fuel in some places. On the maps it was about 280km between towns.
The fuel light starts blinking from 200 -230kms depending on the speeds.
At 120kmh, it is 230km. At 160+ kmh it is about 200 kms.
If I fill up when the light starts blinking, it takes about 11.5 litres. About 3.5 litres left?
So, should last 60kms? (35 miles)
In the end, I found fuel stops every 150km or so, so it was not a hassle.
next year, I plan to ride a lot further, and am planning on taking extra fuel with me.
Some places are about 500km+ between available fuel.
Good advise, I just reset one of my trip odometers at every fill up.Originally Posted by Apertureguy
