    S40

Hi everybody, I have a S40 brand new, one problem is the backfirie it does when I turn it off. Anybody have any solutions. I was pondering the idea of changing the exhaust all together.

cordova. You might want to start your own thread on this subject. You don't want to start off with people thinking your a thread hijacker.

So, you want more noise? Lol. Don't worry, the fiberglass packing won't last that long. I have the Cruizers on my "M" too, and I think they sound great, so good in fact that I never even tried them with the baffles out.

I liked the cruizers on the "M" so much, that I put a Vance & Hines Poo Pipe on my Road King, and to tell the truth, I was disappointed. The "M" sounds waaaaaayyy better than the HD

Let me know how that works out, I talked to them last year, and they said (at that time) they didn't have them for the cruizers.

Just my opinion but my cruzers used to hurt my ears at 85 to 105 mph. the tone was awful, I repacked the fibreglass but sounded same... so I installed extra baffles in them, deepened the tone, sounds a lot meatier.

Are you after a tone change or volume / noise hike?

85, to 105 mph. Maybe I'm just not pushing mine that hard, but at the highway speeds that I run, 65 to 80, I can hardly hear my pipes. Mostly just wind noise. No two mechanical things are ever made exactly alike. Guess I just got lucky with mine.

I am going to see if Thunder makes a baffle for the Pro Pipe on my Road King.
