    1. Remove seats
    2. Remove tank console
    3. Unbolt rear of tank
    4. Lift rear & unplug brown electrical connector (NB May not be brown on US models but prob is)
    5. Unplug "dry break" fuel connector by squeezing tags together
    6. Remove tank.
It is easier with as little fuel in tank as possible. Also it is easy to drop tank over the other side of the bike, so be careful.

No idea about the rear fender, sorry.

    REAR FENDER:
    1. Remove seat
    2. Disconnect elec connecter under seat
(the one with the wires going thru the fender)
    3. Loosen fender strut bolts should be 5 on each side.
(the 2 on at the rear and the 3 around the seat area)
(they will be very very very tight so don't strip or break them)
    4. It is best to have someone hold the fender as you take the 6 bolts at the front out.

I say loosen all 5 so you can manipulate the struts and not scratch your frame. Also, don't take the 4 in the back out at the same time. Some folks have had serious issues getting the steel support underneath to line back up. Only take out the 3 bolts on each side at the front

having paint done? If not, find a way to do whatever it is you're doing without removing the rear fender. It's hell to get back on.

I recommend a towel on top of the tank, as to avoid hitting the handle bars while trying to unplug the electrical connectors. They can be tough. Keep us posted of the work done.
