    This stuff seems to be more heat proof....

    Im a little afraid that fiberglass will turn to ash eventually and will be blown out (at least guys with motocross bikes say it)

    And also to keep the pipes not too hot...

    what you really should look for is that the fiberglass don't get soaked with gas and make your garage smell.

    I have one question about this.
    Is the pipe and muffler open the whole way to the motor or is some plates inside it?

    I think there is what is called a mickey plate that is too deep to get to and is still intact .

    Ok!
    I am custom building 4 inch muffler on my bike and I was wondering I should have such plate or just have it open the whole way through.

    You have to have some back pressure or you risk engine damage, besides being ungodly loud.

    Oh ok. Those with the fibrosleeve should give you some back pressure. The pipes you are making sure are short.

    Ohh. Sorry about the missunderstanding. The muffler is 4 inch width and about 24 inch long.

    24 is fine. Make it the way you like it. The only person you have to please is yourself(or maybe your nieghbors if they live very close.)
