That is unnecessary the 200 wide tire fits on our standard rim. I have one on my bike. No mods are needed.

Glassman i love your bike btw...With the wider rim the tire would fit a little better and i'm wondering if with the 210 kit if you could put a 230 tire on it....not that i would but it just interesting to see the options out there![]()
When I was planning my makeover one of the things I REALLY wanted to do was to put as wide a tire on the rear as I could. Because of the drive shaft, going any bigger than the 200 on a stock rim will require alterations to the drive shaft housing. There is a company in Germany that also sells the wider rim able to accomodate a 230 but I didnt want to have to grind a hole in the housing for the added clearance and let all kinds of weather and debris get in there. I will someday build another bike with a 250-300 rear cause I love how they look but will need a different platform than our beloved Ms. Be Blessed and ride safe.
How much would you like to spend to go wider than a 200mm tire? A 200mm tire really fills the fender especially with 2" lowering links. You get a more solid look while maintaining ridability. Means you won't get called out for owning a cheesed out trailer queen.

Thanks fear, you be blessed and ride safe come spring. In Colorado thats about June right?
The 200 looks good on the M50 (mine had the Metz 200 when I bought it) but I will probably be going to the stock size when I get a new rear tire sometime this year. The 200, atleast in the Metzler, really makes you have to push the bike in the twistys which is what most of my riding is in.
