    Bullet Fairing on M50?

So I have seen some old posts about putting a bullet fairing (or similar small fairing) on an M50, anybody done this recently?
I keep coming back to this myself and want to see if it can make it happen. It seems like the light or mounting may be the holdback, and I do like the look of the stock oval light of my '08 M50.
I am hoping maybe I can customize a different mounting kit for a windshield fitting the M50 to work with the fairing.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

(not my photo here, but this one on a C50 was exactly what I am thinking of...)

I've actually looked into this. I called the company with the dimensions of the m50 headlight, I was told the best bullet fairing to use would be the one made for the Honda vtx part no. 2330-0084. I never got around to ordering one, thinking about doing it this winter. I'm sure the bracketing will need some fabrication, if you decide to go ahead with it post some pictures!

Here is the one I'm thinking about

Venom MK II Cafe Racer Fairing Windshield Fits 7" Round Headlights Yamaha | eBay. Gonna be a pain in the butt, but might be worth it. Or at least a good project over the winter while I strip down and get paint.

So you would go with a Yamaha light then too? I think they could look good.

Any updates since OP in Sep? Would love to see pics if you got them. I just bought a 2005 Suzuki Boulevard M50 and I love it. I'm looking to get a bullet fairing for it too. I've been looking at the Maier GP Sport Fairing, or the Emgo Universal Viper Retro Café Fairing. Anybody have experience with these?

I want to divert the wind off of my chest, but do so without an overwhelming windshield. I like how the bullet fairing has that minimal look to it.

    Good luck with that.
Anything that "diverts the wind off your chest" implies that you will be in the normal cruiser riding position of mostly straight upright.
The wind that gets deflected will go.......right in your face.......and stronger than ever.

Most of the time you can't have the "look" that you want and the functionality too.
For a bullet fairing to work well, your riding position needs to be more laid out, in sport bike style, so the deflected wind goes completely over all parts of your body.
Don't believe everything that you think.

Yeah, that's a good point. I've been debating with myself over "fashion v function," and I'm leaning more towards function. Memphis shades looks like it has some good options too.

I've been screwing around with a TON of different shields on my standards and cruisers for about 40 years now.
Probably could have bought another BIKE with all the money I've spent.

Finally broke down and got a MS Batwing with the tallest shield they offer and the custom lowers.
    VOILA.
It is still a bike ride so I get some air but none of it hits me directly.........well except for the hands, caused by bar risers.

Gotta get painted to match the bike but I'm happy, finally.

    Well,
My wife bought a Buell Blast for US for christmas and that bit of rebuilding fun took up my winter in the garage.I just did the clutch I have needed to change since last year and never got to play around with the idea. On day..

Bullet Fairing on M50?-10955298_10206433947467961_2766093251410937411_o-1-.jpgHas anyone come up with a solution to the Memphis Shades Bullet/M50 issue. I've actually found three on Face Book Cruiser pages. While I've asked them and two gave me a few details. Only one would tell me that the model he used was for a 2010-2013 Stateline Mod# 2330-0077. He told me that he had changed bars and headlight but not which mounts he used. This is one of them. The photo on the bottom use to be owned by a guy named Lars Naesborg. He now rides a killer M90 with a Batwing. Bullet Fairing on M50?-1167646_10201027819071193_697419527_o.jpg

Just ordered my Bullet. Will get it next Tue. I took the suggestion from Laars and ordered 2330-0077. I found two videos on YouTube of the bike with the Bullet. Search Intruder m800 bullet fairing Memphis Shades.

So we're you able to use the bullet fairing on your 50? If so what brackets did you use? I really like the looks of it. Thanks

The two bikes pictured are just examples of what the bike looks like when it's done. I'll have to make the brackets and change the headlight from that goofy oval shaped one that the 08 M50 comes with but it will be worth the effort.

If you can enlarge the pic you can see the brackets Laars made just below the fairing. They are attached to the triple tree, there are 2 10mm holes on the bottom of the upper and lower.
