    Clunk when letting clutch out

    Hi All, first time post.

I have a M800 K5 and today when putting it in the garage I noticed a clunk as I let the clutch out (a little too fast) in first gear. I could repeat it by doing the same again although it didnt seem to happen every time. I cant say its never happened before but today is the first time ive noticed it so im wondering if anyone else has the same or has had it happen?

No issues when riding (that ive noticed) and gear changing seems the same as its always been

Another phantom transmission noise re-appears !!

    Probably perfectly normal.
My Vulcan does that all the time. It almost sounds and feels like too much slack in a drive chain.......but it's belt drive.
I think the noise is created when taking up the slack in the transmission gears themsleves.
And then there is the mysterious whine that you can hear when engaging the clutch and at very low speeds.............

I think all metric transmissions (or a lot anyway) are identical in a lot of respects.
Maybe they all came from one common design way back in the beginning.

BUT.....there always is a chance that something is coming loose so you might want to have a shop or another experienced rider have a quick look/listen.
Don't believe everything that you think.

Thanks for the reply, if I had been put on the spot and asked what I thought it was my first suggestion would have been backlash in the gears or something related. Ill have a good prod and poke to see if there is anything loose
