    Suzuki Intruder 750 help

Am new to the group, was wondering if anyone can help me out. My brother is having trouble with his bike. How do I remove the drive shaft from the engine on a 1987 Suzuki Intruder 750? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Remove the rear wheel (brake brace bolt, rear brake cable, rear axle nut, rear axle, and spacer come off, then pull the wheel to the right to make it drop), drain the shaft oil, remove the left side shock, remove the three chrome nuts where the painted swingarm meets the drive unit. Pull it straight back- you'll feel the shaft slide free of the splines on the universal joint. If you need to pull the u-joint also, loosen the clamp on the rubber boot and push it toward the engine. take out the two screws holding the cover panel and take the little cover off. Pull the u-joint back until you feel it disengage from the beveled drive gear, then pull it out, being careful not to scrape it against the tunnel and damage it.
