    throttle sticking

    I just put my '00 GSXR 600 back together and now when I give it gas, then let off the throttle it will stay wide open. Now it doesn't do this all the time. I really don't think its the throttle cable sticking so are there any other things that can be causing this.

    ummm... the problem with my quad when the throttle was sticking was the return spring the first time, the second time was the butterfly after i had the carb/throttle body bored out the guy did an earl sheib job on it and put a slightly different butterfly in and only stuck when is was wide open otherwise it wouldn't

    If you have some aftermarket grips, sometimes they hang up on bar ends. Usually them make them too long, youmay have to trim them to the same length as the white inner plastic barrel. Otherwise, if tour cables are too tight it will cause them to stick. Loosen the adjuster right below the grip.

    I solved the problem, the idle screw got twisted up when I went to put it back on, so I just turned that down a bit and it works like new!
