    Face Shield Fogging Up.

    Hey guys,

I was wondering what I can do to keep my face shield on my helmet from fogging up. It seems no matter what I do it will keep fogging up. Any ideas on what I can do to keep this from happening.

i dont know how cold it is by you, but if you keep it cracked it is usually fine.

    SPIT!
Thats right...spit on it ,and rub it in good, then polish.
Spit works much better then rain x anti fog.

Buy a Scorpion helmet with one of the fog-free shields. I was a doubter but it's never fogged on me in any weather condition...hot, cold, downpouring rain, humid, dry.

I crack it. And open it at lights. I also run with all my vents open.

Do you have a plastic insert near your chin in the helmet? I did on my HJC and when I took that out, no more fogging, plus I open one of my vents at the bottom, I keep the one on top closed when it's cool/cold out......

    give that a try....

    Hold your breath.

Guess it would've helped if I mentioned that I have a Scorpion Exo 1000 helmet. The anti-fog worked for a couple of weeks, but not anymore.

I'd contact them and ask for a replacement shield. 'Fog Free' should mean just that. Odd that yours does fog up now. Have you applied anything to it or used anything other than water to clean it?

My everclear sheild is still clear...a year or more after I got it.

Perhaps you used a solvent of some sort to clean it?

It's special...and you can only use water to clean it...no soap of any type.
