stock highway pegs far as i can tell got the ins, reg done but man the tx dmv is a maze of crap and regs and the book says one thing and the receptionist is saying another and the supervisor is saying a completely like mars other planet different thing and somehow im supposed to make the right decision im thinking of just riding on my ILLINOIS M endosment.
i had a tx M endorsement i let it lapse but renewed my class c , im being told that i HAVE TO take the dps approved motorcycle saftey course to get it renewed yet when i grab the book that they hand you at the dps station im not sure which page it is but it says that if you had a prior license but let it lapse all you have to do is take the written 10$ and the ride/road test with the examiner which iss 60$, not the txmotorcycle safety class at 295$
am i off my rocker for asking an agency which my taxes pay for to uphold to thier literature?

yes your off your rocker expecting the government to be efficient.
in tx and cali you have to retest if you let your M endorsement lapse. states that require riders ed will most likely require retaking if you let it lapse.
its worth the $5 to each renewal to never let it lapse.

Welcome Doc, Saddlemen makes new covers for seats if you're looking for options. That's a good looking bike though. Not sure if those pegs are a stock option, I think I saw them while surfing for pegs for my bike. I wouldn't mind seeing those on mine.

Nice bike and for the right price. Looks like one you can have some fun fixing up a bit. I have to agree that I would be surprised if those pegs are stock. I think I saw some like them from J&P Cycle when I was restoring my Harley. Good polish and tinkering and that will be a great ride. Enjoy.

Pretty nice! That looks perfect for a bobber. If you're ever looking to go that route, of course.

Hey Doc, I am a very newbie (to this site) and not very proficient in the social media environment and just learning my way around the site. Rode an 02 Vulcan 1500 E model for 84,000 and had an 80 model KZ1000 before the Vulcan. Traded the E model and my wife's 97 Vulcan 1500 D model for two Harley softail customs last summer.
Ride safe and enjoy
