Hello from Aldan, PA
Hello Everyone, I am a new member just posting to introduce myself. I currently have a 1983 Honda Goldwing 1100 Interstate and a 1981 Yamaha Maxim 550. Got the Goldwing in May, 2011 and now have it running as my daily ride. The Maxim is another story. I bought it used in 1987 and rode it till 1990 then put it into storage for 2 years. I got out of the Navy in 1992 and it went back into service for a year. It has been sitting in my garage for the past 19 years and now that I have dug it back out it is in the process of being brought back to life. Lots of corrosion from sitting so long but the good news is the tank is still good and the engine turns over freely with good compression. Hope I can get help here with all the questions I will have as I resurrect the Maxim to be put back into service.

Welcome, a buddy of mine has a non running Maxim. I asked him why it's not running and he told me for a lack of parts availability. Good luck, I hope you get it running and I'll let my friend know it's possible.
