Hello from Billingham in the North East of England.
Hi Everyone & a big Hello! The name is SteveJW, live in Billingham, married with two bairns (kids) in their late teens, both whom have recently started college and Uni. I've been riding bikes since I was 11yrs (6
full UK licence holder since early seventies. I'm a mechanic / engineer and also a HGV driver at times. Got loads of hobbies, but biking is the main one ... love em as much as our lass & bairns. I've owned loads, Japs, Italian, German & Brit models! Current rides are a Suzuki RF900RW (937cc) late 99 model in black & red. The other a Suzuki GSX1100F (European spec) 93 model.
The RF900 is my favourite ride and a pleasure to work on, recently stripped her and renewed the headstock bearings, new fork glide bushes and seals with oil, also cleaned and balanced the carbs, new cables and stainless carb bolts (makes life easier next time) All new fluids (brake & clutch & engine) plus new filters.
The swing arm and suspension cushion / dogbones and shock have all been removed and serviced with new bearings and bushes were required and the whole lot relubed and refitted. While she was stripped, I also replaced most of the fittings to stainless A2 ones with plenty of copper anti seize grease. Had the RF put through the (MOT) the other day and taxed for six month, managed to get a little ride across to M'bro and back, woke up to find snow ... typical.
The GSX1100F is also a low mileage, just like my RF9... though required more fettling. I've done a fair bit on her, but now need to find a diagram and info of where all the fuel pipes / hoses connect to? Also the GSX11 does not have a normal fuel tap, like other bikes I known. So if anyone can provide some pics / diagrams and information on where all the hoses connect to ... then I'd be more than grateful! Ride safe everyone ... but enjoy.

howdy, and three bikes, yeah, you know how to do most of your own work.
btw, if you don't mind me asking, how many kilometers on the rf900 before new head bearings - thinking the concours (about 50 k kilometers) may be due for new head bearings.

Whatever you ride ride safe and keep the rubber on the ground and the shiny side up.
