Speakers?speakers?....I don't need no stinking speakers!
I've never been a fan of listening to anything but the bike while I ride,I like being in tune with the machine and the road.
More than once I've heard something that didn't sound right and stopping to check it out confirmed that fact and may well have saved my life.
A good example is a wheelbearing failure,I've had several over the years, not something you want to have at highway speeds and not know about till it completely fails.
My Harley has a factory stereo,it even raises the volume automaticly to compansate for road noise as I speed up but I rarely listen to it when I'm in motion.
Just food for thought,I'd in particular avoid it in heavy traffic where you really need all your senses.

I am trying to decide the same thing now, I use inear headphones right now that work great, but debating on getting inhelmet. Thanks for the feedback
I kinda thought about the same thing about 6 months after I started riding then I was like hmm do video gamers listen to earbuds while playing madden-cube? as though their brains aren't turned to $4++ before that and now they are trying to jumpstart the thing behind their eyes directly between their ears.

I guess there is no law in here about helmet speakers-· Although helmets are required, there are no restrictions concerning helmet speakers. Some state restrict these accessories since they may interfere with hearing the oncoming traffic or serve as a driving distraction.- What Are Washington State?s Motorcycle Laws? | Washington Motorcycle Accident Lawyer | Andrew Kim Law Firm, PLLC
