I bought my bike about two weeks ago, I have only ridden it six miles so far it is awesome. I have a battery tender wired on the battery and it stays plugged in while in my garage. I have started it up a few times while showing it to my buddies, It seems to crank really slow and coughs back trough the air box. Is my new bike sick already? Is slow cranking normal on this monster of an engine? Do I have to give it gas while cranking to start it? I did a search and couldn't find anything about this.

It's an '06, right? So the battery is at least 2 years old ......even if you got it new from a dealer. I'd put in a new one........or at least have it load tested before you look for other causes.
Slow cranking may be normal when the engine is COLD, as in winter cold.
You should NOT twist the throttle while starting.
P.S. Your 6 mile ride and "starting it a few times" is not good for engine or pipes as both tend to accumulate water in the winter time with short runs.
The bike is a Brand New off the show room floor left over 06.
I thought the dealers don't prep the batteries until they sell them, I could be wrong. I will pull it and have it tested, this should be covered under factory warranty, right?
I know that short run times are not the best for the bike but couldn't resist.

I was thinking that was the case. I heard many bikes start in my days, But never a Liner, so I had nothing to judge it by. I will still have it looked at.

I think you'll be fine. I was put off a bit by the slow cranking and slow first few strokes when cold too. But mine doesn't really crank any faster once it's warmed up. Always starts though.
After a few seconds the idle should speed right up.
I think the whole slow cranking thing is due to the high compression ratio on this engine.
Once you get to put some miles on it you wont care about that anymore. You'll just grab a handfull of throttle on that monster and forget all about what it sounded like when it started.
