Neighbor with a new Concours 14

As I was leaving home yesterday, a neighbor of mine pulled up on his week old '08 Concours 14. What a beautiful motorcycle! He's had the old Connie for a dozen or so years. This new one looks like you could ride coast to coast straight thru.

Just wondering if anyone on here into sport tourers has this new Kawasaki yet. If I could justify multiple bikes, I'd be taking a serious look at this beauty. Damn kids and college....

I saw one at the stealer and I agree. What a beutiful bike. I'm thinking of one more year with the S83 and then the concours will be in the garage.

I bought the Concours 14 in mid-June- about 4,000 miles ago. While it handles beautifully and runs even better, the heat issue that you hear so much about is very real and very hot. I've tried to get past the heat but that burning sensation on my right leg won't let me forget. It's not uncomfortable, it's downright painful- especially on 80+ degree days. And before some of you know-it-alls reply- YES, I always ride with protective gear including boots and long pants. In my research of the problem, I've found that most owners don't have a heat issue- I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.
If you get one that doesn't run hot, it's a great machine- all day comfort and good wind protection.

I rode mine home from the dealership today. Mine's the '09 and as black as night.

I have a new 08 Kawasaki Concours. This bike is an absolute rocket. The only problem is the heat own your legs in the summer. Other than that the bike handles wonderfully and is my favorite bike I have owned up to this point.

I sat on one time , but i could not reach the floor comfartably, it is a very great machine, love to have one.

I've had my eye on one of these C-14's for a long time. Just have to wait on my economic status to improve.
