How fast has everyone had their bike up to? I hit 151 on an empty highway today and it was WILD. Just curious...I don't need the flames blow my way, I made a calculated decision (risk).

Was that 151 indicated or 151 gps actual? I've seen 150, but my speedo is 8% fast. 138.

Let's not be tellin' lies, folks.

an INDICATED 165 with stock tire sizes. Speedo error? I dunno how much, but either way it was still too fast. I thought I was gonna get lifted off the bike by my helmet. FWIW, bike was at "indicated" 165 when I passed the videocamera and was still accelerating, but I let off...gently. It was screaming barely above redline, I assume the p.o. removed it? It's a somewhat modified 95 Kat 750.

About 115 mph with my 04 GSXR 600. I wanna go faster, but am not ready and really.......the only place to do it is on the highway. I haven't had the pleasure of an empty one

The limiter isn't usually right at redline.

    I've seen an indicated 135 on the '02 Gixxer 600 I had. I haven't gotten my '04 600 past 80 yet since I haven't had the first service done.

it indicated 151 and I had a lot left on that tach. I think I was around 10K in 6th. The only reason I stopped was due to the crappy concrete was coming up. It was a newer stretch of concrete that I hit it on. It says that 178 is top speed on this, but I wonder what it really is.

02 Gsx-r 600 167mph on the HOV lane. and why does everyone bring up the mph error with speedometers. Everyone one had and error so why not leave it @ that. Big deal since everyone is equally off by 8% why do people maticulasly(sp?) correct people when they post their speed, is it a knownledge high of being able to use a caculator with this knownledge? just curious?

tire size, sproket set up, and some other things may affect how much you are off. Some people actually believe that thier speedo's are completely 100% dead on. You want actual speed get a gps system.

If my busa is so slow in the twisties, why can't you keep up?

255km/t (158,48mph)... This was on the speedo so it isn't true speed. 230km/t is more likely real speed I guess. It's fun, but it's not the speed it self that drives my mind to doing that. The acceleration is what I like. Can't ride around in 255 for a long time on the roads in Norway anyhow. Too dangerous
