are you kidding - that was a chuckle - he apparently lost his concentration and dumped it when he was "pushing the envelope" of his driving abilities.

...would have been funnier if he had slid into the cop car.

I don't get why it was funny. The guy had a bad day due to an error. Most of us have been there.

Do you think he might have "instinctively" grabbed some front brake when he spotted the cop car ?

That's what I think. There's a primal reaction to suddenly encountering authority that few have total control over.

    He should have gotten ABS!

What the hell am I looking at? When does this happen in the movie? You're looking at now, sir. Everything that happens now is happening now. What happened to then? We passed then. When? Just now. We're at now now. Go back to then. When? Now! Now? Now! I can't. Why?
We missed it. When? Just now. When will then be now? Soon.

yeah... in slo mo it looks like he reacts to the cop and uprights his stance....he was pushing it for that tight of a corner tho....

If I were a cop, I might learn from that NOT to hang out at that location and startle people. Maybe in future I would sit at the tightest spot of the turn where an approaching rider could see them from both directions...and my radar could see both oncoming cars ?

I wouldn't blame the cop as he was just trying to find people speeding / driving unsafe around that area. What better place to catch people in the act than around a corner? If the kid wasn't driving like a maniac ( read: dragging knees on public road ) then it wouldn't have happened in the first place.

agree...and I didnt blame the cop. I only said if it was me, I would see that my presence may have startled the rider and contributed to the crash......and so in future, I would position myself so that seeing me stopped the unsafe driving BEFORE somebody is in the middle of the corner on a bike.
Just me. maybe that is not how cops think...but it is how I think...

Heh, well yeah I'm sure there are places (straightaways) that he could have chosen. Maybe he was in the 'safe' place yesterday and trying to mix it up.
