This is a very nice bike, and, all things being equal,
I think it might be a better bike in the twisties than the XX.
He'd take 3 grand.

Well I'm sure the CBR is much faster but how much speed and power can you really use on public roads anyway.
I'd imagine this bike has a more friendly power curve and being 100lbs lighter I would think a it's lot easier to handle.
Certainly not a slouch by any stretch of the imagination either.

Big HP, and monster top ends are a lot of fun, but I think you would get a lot more satisfaction from money spent on a couple of instructor observed track days, after my first one I had some riding friends wanting to know how I was able to get another 25 hp out of my bike that up till than they never had to chase, after my second one most of them couldn't even keep me in sight.
