    Ninja 250

I am looking at getting a bike soon and have really had my eye on the ninja 250. I do not want to buy new because I am not an idiot and know I will drop it since this is my first bike, but I was looking for some suggestions on what year you would suggest. I am not gonna lie that I do like the looks of the 2008/2009 250's and they can be found on craigslist for 2500 to 3000 which is right in my range since I am planning on spending around 1000 just on protective gear. But if their are more mechanically sound or better 250's from another year then I would definitely take that into consideration. Thanks for the help and hope to see you riding soon.

The newer 250 Ninja's are probably the best ones to get. The styling alone is quite an improvement.

Buy the one you want; you're the one riding it. However, I prefer the older model. It's lighter (the new model is some 30 pounds heavier). And the ergonomics fit me perfectly.

If you can ride them both. You make like the older one like trent.
