About half the time when somebody says "I know it's not the battery", it turns out that it IS the battery.
Sometimes when the battery is charged, it won't "give up" that charge.......or there is a bad connection inside.
Then it also could be a bad connection at either end of the main cables or a bad ignition switch or the connections to that.
Could also be a loose or corroded main fuse.
There really aren't THAT many possibilities when EVERYTHING goes dead.

I will definitey check those this evening and see what happens but also I must say is when bike gets hot it also won't start would that be a sign of the stator going bad

I doubt it. That problem was, I think, unique to a few models that had timing pickups built into the stator.
It is not the stator itself that goes bad and stops making spark, it is the incuctive timing loops that are in the same assembly.

the headlight sometimes does not come on when the bike cuts out?
sounds like a bad ground.
or worse, a bad connection in the wiring harness.

There is NO substitute for experience.
Stick around a while. We have a diverse and interesting bunch here.
I hope that you charged the battery fully BEFORE installing it.
A quick check of the charging voltage should be done too.
P.S. An occasional period or new line would make your posts easier to read.
