    moist crotch

I live down in florida and as you can imagine it gets dreadfully hot down here. the humidity will kill any pleasant looking day. the problem i see is that my bike gets so hot that my tank will melt my crotch. after i get home at about 530 i have to change my pants and underwear. by the way, i dont have hyperactive sweat glands. trust me it is just that hot. is there something for the tank that will absorb some of the heat? i dont mind taking off my pants when i get home, but if i go out somewhere i dont want wet crotch.

What they all said and + 1 on the Gold Bond

Here's something you might want to try

    http://www.helmetharbor.com/estore/k...ers+(One-Piece)

The Taichi I have used for several years and works great, without it somedays I don't think I could get my leathers off.
Glad you posted this to remind me I need to order a new one

If that don't suit you, try some Lyrca/ Coolmax shorts like Bicylce folks wear, or UnderArmour brand shorts, they work pretty good as well

Also it helps if you don't pee yourself JK

Crap, link didn't post right, try this

    http://www.helmetharbor.com/estore/p...20Inner%20Suit

If that don't take you to the right page, from the helmetharbor site, click Apparel, then 1-piece underwear

The question was really about heat, and not crotch rot. Could a shield be fabricated to reflect some heat? Aluminum underwear?

    Highway pegs ?

Get one of those wooden ball seat covers, that'll allow the air to circulate although you may fall off the bike.

Seriously though it is a real problem, sitting on a vinyl seat out in the sun sure is a recipe for some dampness. Powders work well to absorb some of the sweat, clothing that dries quickly also helps, jeans and cotton underwear just act like a big sponge, there are many options out there as far as underwear that don't absorb sweat and dry quickly.

Yadda yadda yadda, whatever, they ain't going to listen anyway.

Put a sheepskin cover on, that will keep your crotch off the vinyl and steel parts.
