I doubt there will be an escalation of top end performance for the simple reason that manufacturers had decided that they had gone far enough and to avoid having governments worldwide start dictating how powerfull their bikes could legally be they self inmposed performance limits.
There's actually a power limiter built in to the Busa to keep it within agreed guidelines, take that puppy out and you can go faster.
Yadda yadda yadda, whatever, they ain't going to listen anyway.

2001 and newer are regulated to 186.
Seeing as the Busa grabbed the crown prior to regulating it will remain the fasest production bike. This argument is moot.

The Busa is the fastest production bike...for now. Don't get me wrong. I am a very big fan of the bike. The issue here is that we have no solid performance numbers for the ZX-14 as this model has just been announced. It surprises me, however, that folks here are ready to dismiss the new Kawi because it looks clunky, clumsy, and not as 'purdy' as the Busa. Well, I'll reserve judgement until I see solid performance numbers from the Kawi. I'd like to see a shootout between the Busa and ZX-14. Heck, why not throw in the so called "Busa hunter," the BMW K1200S in there and make it a three way! While I'm eagerly anticipating what the fastest bike of 2006 will be, I will happily ride like most others do in the real world; well below 186mph, thereby reducing my chances of becoming roadkill!

My point is they cannot break the record so the bus will remain. The bike will have to modified to break the record, thus for not being stock. Not to take anything away from Kaw, but I think they could've done a better job on their design. The 12R looks much better than the 14 even with it's camaro SS mirrors.

I can't argue with you there. The Busa already set the record before the restrictions were added. It's bikes like those that make me glad I'm a Suzuki owner.
God, I want a Busa bad. Santa, can you hook a brutha up?

My original link ended up not working this morning but I found a different link this morning and thats what your seeing now; but on the original link they had a pic also of the limited edition kaw. 636 that'll becomming out too I'll see if I can find that one again. That one will probably be a 50/50 shot as far as sales go I think, its quite a "bling" bike, quite a few touches of chrome and the main color was silver with ALOT of sliver flake in it, but being a limited edition I'd think they'd still sell plenty.

Wow... I've never heard of a spambot thread-cromancing. Usually they start new or hit up the current ones.
It is known that there is an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the product of a deranged imagination.

This powerhouse bike is extremely popular particularly in the sports bik the Suzuki Hayabusa is a top end performance bike capable of reaching speeds in excess of 190 mph.Styling extremely sophisticated and the dynamic body graphics of the bike make it different from other bikes..I am still with hayabusa..
