Matching a paint job for my GS650L

Just purchased an 83 GS650L for 1000 bucks. 7k original miles. Only thing wrong cosmetically is 2 small slightly rusted dents in the gas tank as well as the clear coat peeling away. The gas tank is a bit of an eye sore. I want to get the dent removed, but because the clear coat is peeling away, I think I have to have the whole tank sandblasted and repainted. Correct me if I am wrong. Question is....will any auto body shop be able to match the existing paint? I don't want to be disappointed after the job is already done. Open ears if you have any other suggestions.

On something that old, paint match is going to be a challenge after 30 years of sun, rain, and polution. They can probably come close, but it will cost you. But the tank does not really butt up against other paint, does it? So close enough will be close enough. Don't worry about perfect, as this bike is not worth much and you do not want to simk a lot into it. Or maybe paint it a contrasting color. I did an old intruder last week, a red bike that I could not match without paying someone hundreds to custom match. So I painted the tank white for $30, then added some red pinstripe on the tank and whtle pinstripe on the fenders and side covers to tie it together. Looked killer, sold the bike in one day.
