1987 Suzuki GSXR 750
I recently purchased an 87 Suzuki GSXR 750 and having issues with the clutch. The issue is after about 4 mile of riding the clutch starts to slip to the point where it doesnt grab. After letting the bike cool its is good again for a few miles. Does this indicate clutch failure?
I have cleaned out the clutch master cylinder and rebuilt the clutch slave. Also bleed the system, clutch lever has plenty of pressure.

The first thing I would look at is the oil. Be sure it is the correct type for a wet clutch and of the proper weight. If in doubt change the oil. If that doesn't help you may need a new clutch but the first step being sure of correct oil (and change the filter too) is cheap insurance.
I heard most accidents happen close to home, so I moved!

If that didn't change the symptoms any, then see above post.
And while you are waiting for the new oil to "settle in" a bit (assuming that you need to change it), start shopping for a set of clutch friction plates. My bet is that you will need them........maybe springs too.

And NOW you forgot to mention if you put the right kind of oil in it or not.

Is the clutch lever holding pressure on the slave cylinder?
