1986 vs 700 INTRUDER MISFIRING
I am a proud owner of a 1986 Suzuki Intruder VS 700 that has been BOBBED OUT. The problem that I have is for some reason after I loaned my scotter to my cousin whom seemed to have rode the scooter in heavy rain, well the scooter is misfiring badly. Wher do i start to correct this issue. I did try to ride the scooter home and its misfiring so bad you can smell the unburned gas bad. So the scotter is at a girl friends house, and I gatta get it out of there, preferably ride it out HELP !!!!!!!!!

I would suggest that you start by leaving it out in the bright sun and wind for a couple of days to be sure it is dried out.
After that, you need to check all the basic maintenance items: spark plugs, wires and boots; battery voltage; drain the float bowls, etc.
If you don't know how to do that stuff, you need to find a local mechanic who does.

A possibility
i WAS TOLD BY THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE COILS CHECKED ???
IS THIS SOMETHING I COULD DO, IF SO HOW ? ALSO WHAT TYPE OF METER IF NEEDED WOULD I NEED TO TEST THE COILS, OR COULD I TEST THEM LIKE I DID BACK IN THE DAY ON MY HOT RODS BY CHECKING FOR A OUT PUT SPARK FROM THE COIL TO GROUND, AND THE REMOVING A SPARK PLUG AND LOOKING FOR A BLUE SPARK FROM THE ELECTRODE END OF THE SPARK PLUG WHILE CONNECTED TO THE COIL ??????

Yes.....but the spark may not be as "blue" as you remember from "back in the day".
