Starting/chargings problem with 2007 Boulevard C90
I really want to buy a 2007 Boulevard C90 for sale locally, but I just read dozens of blogs that complain about the inadequate charging system and frequent starting problems. Can anyone tell me if this is likely to be a problem with all C90s and how difficult it is to get it fixed?

If you would read those blogs you found, you'd see that the stator/ signal generator assembly was redesigned in 2005 to solve the starting issues. There is not a lot of extra electrical capacity on the C90, but there isn't a lot of extra electrical capacity on 95% of Japanese motorcycles, so you will have to give it the same attention you would any other Japanese cruiser: plug it into a battery tender if you are going to let it sit for a long time, plan on buying a new battery about every 4 years, and don;t overload the system by putting every electrical accessory you can find on it.
The C90 is a pretty good bike, not as good as some but better than most when it comes to performance, comfort, durability, driveability, and longevity. You could certainly do a lot worse. There are a lot ofused ones out there, so don't pay a lot, and avoid ones built before 2005 unless the stator has been replaced with the new one.
