How to remove rust from chrome

This trick will remove rust from chrome.

I just found this out on another site. I wanted a cheap way to remove a little rust spot from my truck's bumper.

You get a piece of aluminum foil and dip it into some Coca Cola. Rub the shiny side on the rusty spot. It melts the rust right off. I couldn't believe how fast it works.

So if you have any rusty chrome, give it a try!

that rust isn't to bad - if it's bad, then muriatic acid is required.

and be careful when using said acid.
Couldn't put "fail" across Lolo's picture, but she did come in 4th in the 100 m hurdles - still one heck of an effort.

A little Comet cleanser on a damp cloth will work wonders. So does tooth paste.

or buy a bike with almost no chrome on it, like my concours, remarkably little chrome and it still runs.

    OUCH!!
Need to be careful with that Comet.
The original variety contains pumice-like abrasive grit.......which is NOT good on chrome.
Bar Keepers Friend doesn't have harsh abrasives; maybe some varieties of cleansers don't either but most do.

Concours is an awesome bike. I'm sure the new zx version is wonderful.

there's instructions out there, for my generation (the 86 - 06) where you can put the zx10 carbs on the concours for more power.

The current concours (1400 cc) is just insane - two up riding with just a bit of power, as the Brits might say.

Any sugestions on spots that you can't scrub like the inside of bolts. Its sounds stupid but its big enough to notice but small enough to were I can't realy do anything about it.
