Crosswinds - Delaware Memorial Bridge

I'm planning on visiting friends in New Jersey ( Egg Harbor City ) and the one obstacle in my way is the Delaware Memorial Bridge. Maybe I'm just psyching myself out, but how much of an issue are crosswinds? This is also my 1st season riding, and 1st major bridge crossing. I'm riding a 06 Suzuki Boulevard C50 (805cc)

What kind of a bridge IS it ??

Just don't go on a day when the winds are predicted to be high......like not over 20 mph.
Don't believe everything that you think.

OK.....maybe if the predicted wind is not over 10 MPH !!!
Because the wind going down the "channel" and across the bridge might be a LOT more than that.

If it is two lanes each way, you should be fine if you don't go across it at an inappropriate time.
(Remember news film of cars that TRY to drive through flooded creeks.....)

Stay loose, concentrate on the road ahead and you should be fine.
Tensing up and over-correcting is your worst enemy.

Aside from storms, the worst wind problem is meeting a BIG truck going the opposite way at high speed. Looks like that might not happen there.

On a good day they have 4 lanes open each way, but knowing Delaware it's always under construction of some sort. I'll keep you're advice in mind and check the wind for that day. Thanks

Been over it 3-4 times on a day where wind wasn't an issue. I didn't even bat an eye (especially since I had also gone over the Chesepeak Bay Bridge in those same trips). I'd be nervous if the wind was 20mph (who wouldn't), but regardless as long as you stay smooth and relaxed and keep control, you'll be fine.

Just take it easy and don't have a death grip on the bars, if you get blown about a bit the bike will right itself so try not to overcorrect there's no need to panic.
I've ridden in a lot of wind and made many bridge crossings in it including the Golden Gate in San Francisco and the Tacoma Narrows in Seattle,it's no big deal unless we're talking gale force wind and then you don't want to be on the road at all anyway.
I've had a few white knuckle rides across bridges on the Columbia River, especially the bridge on the coast from Astoria,Oregon at the mouth of the Columbia across to Washington state,4 miles across the water and wind right off the ocean.

It can be wild on this one but I haven't been blown off yet lol.
