Hammer vs M109R
I have narrowed my search down to two bikes.
I will have to say the Victory did a great job with the Hammer. If you ride it, it does sell itself. These are the only real cons I can think about: Price, Plastic rear seat cowl (concerned that those nipples breaking off), Price, I have read about the rear brakes wearing out in 5K, Price and did I mention the cost? I want the billet wheels, chrome package and the HID light(loaded). And that will be 19k and some change. I have found a dealer that will sell me a Hammer with the billet wheels and HID for $15,800, plus the stage one kit, Jackpot light, led rear turn signals, tag side mount and a couple other little bling items. Lets just call it 19-20k on the road.
I just rode the M109R today. The bike seems to be more nimble then the Hammer. It has great power with no modifications. And did I say the price is under 12K on the road. Plus in March you receive a leather M109R Jacket for free. The cons about this bike are: all plastic body parts, except the tank, a little more maintenance due to the radiator and rear differential, the ugly front headlight bucket (cone), the clutch lever is a tag bit out there and it is the first year out.
Is there anything I missed? Tell me what you think? The spring bug is biting me and I need to ride!! To bad I sold my Vulcan 750 a couple of weeks ago. Thanks for your input.

A lot depends on 2 things, how much can you spend and what do you "really" need. I've got a C50 and enjoy it but would like more power and a more solid feel in shifting, brakes, and overall build. I rode a Star Roadliner this weekend and felt the adrenaline still pumping that night. It's 1850cc, with a light build to make it surprisingly easy to handle. The brakes, shifting, and everything else feel great. And, this thing is unbeleivably fast. My salesman is a Ducati rider and couldn't beleive this bike. At $14,000+ it's less than the Kingpin I'm interested in trying, but the Roadliner is way more bike than I need. Hard decisions.

I looked at the V-rod , yamaha warrior and the Hammer. Price...v-rod and Hammer were almost neck and neck. The warrior was 11,500 for a tricked out all black ...bike looked wicked...but I did not feel right on it.
Checked out the v-rod..and Hammer. I am speed freak...so speed just on this side of a crotch rocket was to be considered. I know my limitation and when I ride I want to be involved with the bike. So something like a wide glide was out.
The main choice came with how I felt on the bike. The v-rod..I sat to high and it felt like I was riding a drug store riding pony.
I rode the Hammer and a Vegas with a stage II kit. The smile plastered across my face said it all.
I liked the style of the Hammer. Big brakes ..big *** back tire...big tank and a big attitude motor. oh and 6 speed transmission.
Buy what makes you feel right.
Or my major down fall...If it speaks to me ...I have to buy it.

Hammer
Do you remember when you rode the Victory.......were the pegs closer than the 109 or about the same location ???? I have an M-50 and love the way it handles, I want more power but can't reach the pegs on the 109 and was thinking about the Hammer.
Thanks

You should be able to get a ride at your local Victory dealership. The one here is always offering demo rides.
