    Vegas 08 Clutch Lever Replacement

My husband broke the ball off of his clutch lever and we are having a REALLY hard time finding a replacement for the part. I think it is because it is hydraulic. Anybody have any part numbers for this one or places to look online? None of the dealers in a 40 mile radius seem to carry any of these are quick pick up replacement parts and he's getting grumpy!

I can't find any parts for the 08's online. My search fu is broken. Eek! Am I calling it the wrong thing?

At the risk of stating the obvious......if you had ordered one from a dealer two days ago, you would probably HAVE it now. Dealers just don't stock parts anymore in a lot of cases, not even things like oil filters.

And if you order one tomorrow, you can probably have it by Wednesday.
Is there a reason you have NOT done that?

Well, yes. It just happened maybe 6 hours ago. I thought I would look online too. He probably will order from a dealer if I can't get a part number, but he still would have to drive 35 miles to get it plus during take time off during work hours when they are open.

Somehow from your post it sounded to me like you had been beating the bushes for DAYS trying to find one.

YOU could ride your M out to get it FOR him !! That would be a nice gesture.

The shops in my area are open 'til 6pm in the summer.
Some of them can arrange to direct ship the parts right to your door.
Alas, if you don't find one locally on Sat., it will be Tuesday at the earliest.

Maybe he could clean the end of the lever REALLY good and wrap some duct tape around it !!

He's going to the dealer today, in his cage I'm just learning on my M and there are some crazy turns to get to the dealer so that is not something I'd do for him! haha!

I recently had that happen on my 05. The entire clutch cable needs to be replaced.
The 08 should be under warranty for that cable.

The cost is $115 for the complete cable. Best thing is to replace it with a new one. Mine broke on a trip back from Vegas. I have to Mygyver the Chit out it with some scrap copper wire.
