i have an electrical problem with my vstar
I had someone change out my rectifier on my v star 1100. Turns out they installed a rectifier from a kawasaki motorcycle.. I do the motorcycle about 40 miles when the power turned off, and the battery was burnt. I replace the rectifier with proper rectifier and replace the battery. the lights turn on the horn works turn signals work, but it does not start. It doesn't even turn over. Is there a fuse that might have blown the wires don't look burnt. How do I even troubleshoot what is going on?

With a voltmeter but..........
I respectfully suggest that you take it to a dealer.......before you make matters worse.
Odds are that it's nothing drastic.......but it could be if you dive in not knowing what you are doing.
Before you do that, check all the safeties.......kill switch, sidestand, neutral and clutch.
Most likely culprits: start button or solenoid.
Could be a fuse too. Hard to check them without a meter.
Are you sure the new battery is fully charged ??
Do you hear a click when you push the start button ??
