    Yamaha V-Star 950

Hey everyone! I'm new to the forum and new to legally being able to ride a motorcycle.(I just got my licence) haha
Anyway my question for everyone is... What are your opinions on the V- Star 950? Good or bad bike?
I am looking into buying my first bike and I keep coming back this motorcycle. I'm not sure what it is about it but
i keep going back to the dealership to find my "right" bike. I have ridden before since i was old enough to hold up a 50cc scooter
up until last year when a friend of mine let me ride his Ninja 650(definately not my type of bike too powerful). But I am not sure
what the right bike should be for me.... I am a big guy 6' tall and 300lbs so I am having trouble picking due to not wanting to look
like a giant on a 650 or smaller and I don't want to go with something bigger than what I am comfortable with power-wise.
Can anyone give me some opinions or help maybe point me toward any ideas of a bike that might be right for me?

    Thanks
    Andy

If you are in average to good physical condition, I see no reason that bike wouldn't work.
You are not a total rookie, after all.
If it seems to fit you good and you like it......AND you can get a good deal in it...........then go for it. !!

It is best to NOT get a brand new bike as a first ride and also good to not take out a loan to get anything.
Of course, if you can afford to pay cash for new wheels, that's a different story.

    Good luck.
