I have checked for leaks and didn't find any.

I know I don't have to go to a Suzuki Dealer but paying our shop rates of $100 per hour, minimum, I prefer not to go to someone who is going to spend time training at my expense.

    I HAVE a shop manual.

And as to 'what exactly does that even MEAN ??', I guess if you don't know I would be wasting my time trying to explain.

    You make an appointment.
You take the bike there and leave it for them to look at.
If you can't or won't do that, then ........good luck.
    There is no "begging" involved.

And that "good luck" is not meant to be a smart assed comment; it is just an honest opinion on the present situation.
If you are thinking of guessing and shotgunning parts at it, a good deal of luck WILL be involved.

    Hi Scribe,

Visual inspection and truly checking using WD40 (or something else) is an entirely different thing. Even carb cleaner (spray can) can identify leaks you cannot see. If it were my bike I'd be spraying around the throttle bodies and seeing if maybe one of the gaskets has failed, or maybe even one of the connections that visibly looks fine. If a vacuum leak exists at that location the idle will change...thus identifying a potiential leak. Granted, visual inspection is the place the start but when things keep pointing that direction it's time to verify.

    Just a couple of thoughts.

To Easy Rider: The nearest Dealer to me is about 200 miles away and if they will not answer their phone, and will not reply to messages left on their answering machine, and will not reply to E-Mail messages, how is one supposed to make an appointment?

Hi IBTJn: I did try the WD40 thing and nothing showed. I think my best option now is to trade it for another bike, Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Harley, ???, anything but Suzuki, because even Suzuki Canada are not much help. Cheers, and thank you to all for your time.

    I'm sorry.

The rest of us cannot make meaningful comments without knowing the WHOLE STORY.

I assume there are no independent shops nearby either ??

Other good bikes in the same general class as your Zuki:
    Kaw Vulcan 900
    Yamaha Vstar 950
    Honda VTX 1100

Your eventual choice might be driven more by finding a good dealer/shop first.
