    Boulevard C50 storage compartment key

    Hey all,

So I bought a used C50 and I can't open the storage box on the left side of the motorcycle below the seat. Does it use the ignition key or another key?

to the forums from Arkansas. It should be the ignition key. If original owner changed the side cover it won't be. If that is the case would,I would hit him up for the key.

Thank you for the quick reply AloRaptor. The ignition key was going in tight when I originally tried it so I decided to ask instead of risk breaking something. Thank you!

That probably means that the lock needs a good shot of something like penetrating oil to get it freed up.
A locksmith could help.......and if all it needs is a little lube, they might not charge you anything either.

Did you get a second, spare key ?
If not, you definitely should hit the seller up for that; also an owner's manual.
Don't believe everything that you think.

I always carry the hex key to take my passenger seat off in the bags and tape a spare ignition key to the bottom of the passenger seat. Never lost my ignition key yet but only takes once to be thankful for the spare!!
