    My Boys Jr50 Is Giving Me A Headache... (merged)

    This Is My First Post And Maybe Someone Can Help Me With This Night Mare Of No Spark I'm Having With A Older Jr50 With Points.i Have No Spark And I Am Wondering How To Not Only Check The Magneto But Also The Points Set Up.the Coil Is Good Since I Swapped It Out With The Other Jr50 So It Might Be Something I'm Over Looking In The Way I'm Setting Up The Ignition Or Possibly A Bad Couple Parts....thanks

    Any Jr50 Guroos Out There

    No Spark On Older Jr50 With Point And Coil Is Good

    Try a new condenser and a clean spark plug

    Here are a list of some possible culprits.....

    Check the kill switch for continuity
    As was said the condesor may be bad which is an inexpensive fix
    Make sure the points are gapped and operating (open and close)
    Make sure all the connections are free of corrosion and are connected.

    I disconnected the magneto from the coil and held that wire while kicking it and it gave me a shock but when I hooked it back up, nothing.The points gap is set at 13 and everything is clean with a new spark plug.Is it possible that the coil is not compatible with the older set up since the coil is a newer type.
