    Anyone added a Shift-I shift indicator to a M50?

    Hi All

Spotted this shift indicator Main Shift I HEADING, just wondering has anyone put one on an M50 instead of a tacho?

It looks like it could fit nicely above the speedo

Not for $140. It's a really good price for what it does, but it's not useful for just everyday driving.

I have issues remembering what gear I'm in. It'd be great if those lights would light up after you shifted, and tell you that 2 lit lights meant you were in 2nd. I think it's a great idea, and if you want it get it! I've sort of changed my mind about tachos anyhow; meaning that I don't need to be an old fashioned engine whore anymore, and just tell people to listen to the engine before shifting (although I may keep that POV for cages!). It think it'd be useful to have the flashing lights there to signal a productive shift, since sometimes we shift too early or way too dang late. Go for it! The worst that would happen is that you'd develop a Knight Rider complex on your bike!

I have both. The gear indicator is a very nice addition.

Is that that hard-to-see digital indicator on the right? And why does it read "8"? Are you holding out?

It's not powered in the pic. When on it is clearly readable even in bight sun.
