    removing fuel level float

    well im trying to do the por15 rust preventive system for the gas tank on my 96 gsxf600 but i can't seem to get the fuel level float sensor out of the tank from the bottom does anyone know how to get it out?

    i know mine was just connected in there with two phillips head screws. nothing too complex. you might want to check the clymer's/haynes manual, they might have something to say. by the way, i've used that stuff, works great. just make sure when you go to dry the tank out, use a vacuum, it works the best, everything else that shoves air back in, makes the tank re-rust. good luck.

    Take off the cover

    remove the phillips head bolts that hold the float assembly on (4, I think)

    Pull the assembly up (you may have to break the seal of the gasket) and thread the wire out until you come to the actual float.

    The float is a black box approx 1/2" thick x 1-1/2" long and almost the exact width of the opening. It must come straight up through the center of the hole.

    Apparently Suzuki thought it would be funny to put a square peg in a round hole
